When it comes to clothing and home textiles, functionality nowadays is playing a no less important role than fashion. Meanwhile, modern consumers are seeking comfort and health besides style and look from what they wear and where they live, and it’s not just for sports and leisure purposes.

To overcome the difficulty in identifying the quality of functional textiles, many certification schemes were established to help manufacturers, retailers and buyers as well as consumers to access valid textile products. Taiwan is a leading manufacturer and supplier of functional textiles in the world. To assist the industry to promote their excellent products and to facilitate consumers’ recognition of the innovalue of Taiwan’s textiles, Taiwan Textile Federation, under the support of Ministry of Economic Affairs, has developed the Taiwan Functional Textiles (TFT) certification system and label. With a set of scientific and objective criteria and certification procedure, TFT label serves as a quality assurance to both buyers and consumers.

TFT label is now duly registered in Taiwan, USA, EU, Japan and China. Taiwan textile pavilion is very active in textile trade fairs around the world, and textiles with TFT label are now the highlight products to draw attention from professionals and buyers worldwide.

Over the years, TITAS has successfully built a reputation for Taiwan as the best source for functional textiles, and it is a professional event that international outdoor clothing and goods brands would not miss. This year at the Taiwan Functional Textiles Zone inside TITAS, visitors will witness textile functionality through interactive experience. In addition, a special area will be allocated to display TFT labeled products with simulative situations and background.
